We all know what we want for Christmas! Ruby has just been to the Nationals for Motocross. She came 9th in NZ, in her age group. Ruby you're a legend! Thank you (and Gretchen and Johnny) for sharing your talent with us.
Today we celebrated Diwali, the Hindu festival of light, in the Junior Blue team. We made diva, rangoli patterns, barfi sweets, Rama and Sita puppets, and had 'henna' designs painted on our hands. What a fantastic afternoon!
Here are Batman's Angels trying very hard to keep a straight face! We were practising our drama skills and every time our classmates asked us a question we had to answer with "sausages". Some of the questions were just so funny we had to laugh!
Today the Incredible Superstars made some cheesymite scrolls. They tasted incredible. Check out what we did . . . (Photos by Keira, the official photographer)
We were so lucky to have the Radio Lollipop van visit us at Clearview. We had fun being the DJs and choosing what music we wanted to play. Thanks to all the families for helping to support this great charity!
On Fridays we have started a rotation through four different activities - drama, music, cooking and poem art. Mrs Allport and the music group looked at Timbre (the colour and character of sounds). We created a 'Storm Symphony' using all the different sounds we could create with a sheet of newspaper! Bailey is the conductor. Didn't he do a great job!
We also explored the sounds the percussion instruments made and created a soundscape of The 3 Billy-Goats Gruff.
